CHAPTER 2: WHO LET THE BUGS OUT?
Bulleta was good, but Ulah were better. This time, *dons his best/worst Baha Men impression* WHO LET’S THE BUGS OUT?
O.K, talk over. Down to business. Once again, this is based on the UK version of Survivor in terms of rewards and challenges, but in terms of characters, it is all from my warped mind. And trust me, the sequel will stretch every little bit of it…
DAY 4, 7.00am.
(Misato VO: Day 4, and the Ulah tribe mostly isn’t bothered about B.B.Hood’s removal. However, one member is particularly surprised about it.)
(Serena VO: Last night, I didn’t want to say anything but I worked it out that Hood must have voted for me last night, which meant I voted for Davis, and he voted for me. Which meant that the other five in mass voted for Hood. Davis is an idiot, but I’m not. I have a suspicion about them…)
Serena: Duo, I take it you voted for Miss Hood last night?
Duo: Yep. She was a dangerous character. Better to get rid of the schemers than the slackers at the early stage.
Serena: (angry) AND WHAT’S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?
Duo: I didn’t mean it! No-one has been slacking, I didn’t have a reason to vote for anyone else off…
Serena: So you aren’t plotting anything against me are you?
Duo: No. I voted from my own mind and heart.
(Duo: Serena is smarter than I thought. I don’t think Davis is on to anything yet, and my hunch is that he’ll vote for Serena again. Perhaps if we lose the next immunity…)
(Misato: Meanwhile, Davis is a bit surprised about the turn of events, but not in the same way Serena is.)
Shinji: Why did I vote off B.B.Hood?
Davis: Yeah, Serena was the one doing all the complaining!
Shinji: I don’t think you understand this game. It isn’t the one who moans the most you vote off automatically (if it was you’d probably be ahead of Serena…just…), it is the ones you want to vote off.
Davis: So why did you vote her off?
Shinji: I dunno. It seemed she looked like a strong person to win, yet she seemed to be a loner. Better to be united than seperated.
(Davis: Shinji talked to me about last night’s voting. Although he may be right, I still think Serena should have gone.)
(Duo pops into the tent)
Duo: Shinji, can you help us with the rice? (As Davis turns, Duo does a thumbs up sign but it is angled from the side. Shinji recognises the sign as the alliance sign.)
Shinji: Sure. See ya Davis.
(Outside tent)
Duo: (whispering) Serena seems to have a grasp of what’s going on between us. I think to throw her off, we need to….(can’t hear what he’s saying)…got that.
Shinji: Got it. Thanks Duo.
(Duo: Shinji is very trusting, very honest. I think that could lead to his downfall in the future, but for the moment, he’s safe.)
(Shot of Chun-Li and Julia doing some kata exercises, and Tenchi with his luxury item, his kendo stick)
Chun-Li: Still need to keep in shape…
Julia: …you never know…
Tenchi: …when the next evil-doer comes along!
(All three laugh as Serena watches them)
Serena: What are they laughing about?
(Helang)
(Misato: After their peace and relaxation, Helang get right back to business)
(Shot of Akane and Nene going after some water)
Akane: It’s a good trek.
Nene: I need the exercise anyway.
Akane: From what you told me you’re a supernatural athelete.
Nene: Only on nights. In the mornings, I’m just a genius hacker, computer mistro and ever so adorable Nene Romanova!
Akane: Ha! You’re not as cute as me! You’ve got enough on those girly arms!
Nene: Ha! And what’s your martial arts make you? Macho chick?
(Both glare at each other before exploding in laughter)
Akane: You know, if Ramna had said that, he’d be dead, but seeing as I like you…
Nene: Hopefully not in a Linna way…
Akane: Truce.
Nene: Truce. (Shake hands) Now let’s get that damn water.
(Nene: It’s a clash of egos between me and Akane, but it’s friendly and all in good humor. I haven’t felt this energized in a long time. I know being on the island is for survival and it’s gonna be difficult, but I’ve emerged from worse situations. Believe me.)
(Shot back to beach. Genki is snoozing as Gary rekindles the fire.)
Gohan: I wish I could just create one, but they specifically said ‘No anime or mutant tricks from you sonny jim.’
Gary: I thought your name was Gohan Sonn.
Gohan: (sweatdrop) And I thought you were smarter than Ash…
Gary: (dryly) Ha. Ha.
(Sakura comes up to them with a fish using her luxury item, the fishing net from the episode ‘The Cave.’. Both guys light up.)
Sakura: Here you go boys, I didn’t think I’d need it this early, but better to be safe than sorry.
Gary: Thanks Sakura, 5…6…(notices something)…wait, blood?
(Gary and Gohan quickly look and see that there are bite marks on Sakura’s shoulder.)
Gohan: Sakura? Your shoulder?
Sakura: Huh? (sees the small drops of blood) Oh…my…god…you don’t think…
Gary: A snake? I hope not?
(Few minutes later)
Genki: I still don’t see how you could have woke me…
Jubilee: Enough of your crap, she is O.K Gary?
Gary: She says she’s fine, but the marks, I just hope…
Vivi: Wait a second. Those aren’t snake bites. I’m sure, there is no trace of poison on there, I can sense it.
Jubilee: Glad you’re around then.
Genki: So what bit her then?
Gohan: I think it was this.
(Gohan is holding a large fish, not sure what it is, maybe a small shark by the tail, it’s long dead but it’s teeth definitely have red on them.)
Gohan: I think whilst you were dealing with the net, one of these had a go at you. (Hands the knife they got from the ship) I think this one is yours.
Sakura: (smiles) With pleasure. (puts the shark on the log, where Sakura, without fear, beheads the critter.)
(Gohan: Sakura is a tough girl, any other 10 year olds would have been freaked out of that experience. But then again, giving her past, I guess a bite from a shark is nothing to her…)
(Nene and Akane now back, have been told the story as they are preparing to have the shark for breakfast.)
Nene: The liver is poisonous so….
(Jubilee: Nene annoys me a bit because she seems to be really intelligent and is helping out in ways that I don’t think we need to know. Sure, she’s smart but where was she when Sakura was bitten? I think this game requires more physical and less mental strengths.)
(Soon, a small breakfast of shark and rice is befitting the Helang tribe.)
2.00pm.
(Misato VO: It’s two o’clock in the afternoon and it is time for the tribes first reward challenge. If the tribe wins the reward challenge, they will be rewarding with something that makes their life on the island, just a little bit easier.)

Misato: I thank you all for coming today, how is everything going, settling in on the island?
(Most give affirmative nods.)
Misato: That’s good. Now, on the island, you have already began to acquire the most basic of needs, ones of warmth, water, shelter and of course food. Today, we will be testing that most basic need, food. The reward will also be of food, but more to that if you win.
(All nod.)
Misato: To win, each of you has to eat, one of these.
(Yellow caterpie come from the delicacy plates laid out in front of them. Yes, traditionally they are green, but hey, this is less than traditional. Besides, the creatures in the UK Survivor were yellow…)
Misato: These are a national delicacy from the island to be eaten in South East Asia. I have been told they taste like mature cheese. Don’t eat the head as the black eye is seen to be disgusting, not poisonous, but it won’t make your day.
(The looks on the people’s faces show that they don’t seem to believe that, i.e. they’re disgusted.)
Misato: O.K, as the Ulah tribe is down one member, one of you has to go twice.
(They quick talk but it is quickly decided that Tenchi is the one to go twice.)
Misato: O.K, then, Tenchi you go first and for Helang it is Akane. Ready begin.
(Here are what goes on with each person)
Tenchi: (both times) Is obviously acquainted with this type of food, as he eats both easily, just drinking a bit of water.
Akane: ‘It can’t be worse than your own cooking.’ She eats it, cringes a little, but swallow before taking a gulp of water.
Julia: ‘I don’t like eating animals but in the law of the wilderness, you take what you have to survive.’ Julia eats it without too much of a problem.
Gohan: ‘I’ve eaten dinosaur, I can eat caterpie.’ Eats it no problem.
Davis: Eats it no prob.
Genki: ‘It seems disgusting but I guess I gotta.’ Eats it and gulps some water.
Chun: ‘It’s a bit freaky but I live in an arena where seaweed is a delicacy. One worm won’t struggle.’ Eats it, and drinks all of her water.
Nene: Looks at the worm, like a specimen. (does a ventriloquist act) ‘Why are you staring at me?’ (speaks) ‘Because you’re lunch!’ (proceeds to eat it.)
Shinji: ‘I’ve been through a lot, eating this isn’t exactly earth shattering.’ Eats it, no questions asked.
Gary: ‘This is difficult, but I gotta.’ Shrugs, and eats it.
Serena: ‘Damn, do I have to do this?’ All seven of the others had, so to prove herself, she eats it. The Ulah tribe cheer her.
However…
Jubilee: (had studied the damn thing for a while, but decides against eating it.) ‘I’m sorry, I just can’t…(looks like she’s gonna be sick.)
Sakura: Although it doesn’t matter…(eats the caterpie)I’M HUNGRY!
Vivi: I guess it doesn’t matter.
(Ulah celebrate their win because Jubilee’s refusal to eat the caterpie made it 8-7 to Ulah.)
Misato: Congratulations Ulah, and your prize…is something similar to what you’ve eaten, but slightly sweeter.
(A crate is opened and they see a huge bowl of strawberries and some whipped cream by the side. They all whoop with joy as the Helang tribe only look on in disappointment.)
(4.00pm.)
(Misato: The aftermath of the failed reward challenge has sunk in with the contestants, a few more so than others.)
Gary: Eatting a caterpie…
(Gary: I caught a caterpie as one of my first pokemon, so eating one, albeit a strange one, was something I didn’t really like, but I did it. Then again, it didn’t seem to matter.)
(Jubilee by the beach, sulking)
(Jubilee: I know it was my fault that we lost that challenge, but it was only strawberries and cream. I just hope the others don’t hold it against me. I just don’t like the idea of bugs in my stomach.)
(Akane is making some new adjustments to the shelter.)
Akane: I just hope that will be enough. If one of us goes, maybe I need to make it smaller. Then again, more room is always nice.
(Akane: The thought of tomorrow’s immunity challenge springs to mind. And although it may be pessimistic, the challenge today was a real downer, so I am thinking who to try and eliminate. I’m wary myself that I’m seen as a leader here and could go, but hopefully I won’t.)
(Vivi is by the beach, sweating)
Vivi: It’s hot.
(Vivi: I am not enjoying this. Maybe it’s because of the clothing I have to wear basically, or maybe it’s despite the unique range of characters I still feel like an outsider. However, the people here mostly have welcomed me in open arms. Like my old friends.)
(Gohan goes up to Vivi)
Gohan: Hey, you O.K?
Vivi: Yeah, it’s just hard to get a swimsuit on when your body is practically all gears.
Gohan: Heh. But you aren’t a doll are you?
Vivi: No, I feel heat, I feel pain. Hopefully we won’t have too much of that tomorrow in the challenge.
Gohan: Nah, we beat them last time, we can do it again. Come on Vivi, let’s have some fun!
(Shot of where Sakura, Gary and Genki are playing volleyball, a beach ball being Jubilee’s luxury item)
Vivi: Sure!
(Misato: Meanwhile as the Helang tribe tries to forget the defeat, the Ulah tribe whilst carrying their prize back to their beach find an unwelcome visitor.)
(Shot of the Ulah tribe quite a while back as a large water snake is scouring the island, fortunately it isn’t bothered in the 7 humans)
(Misato: This is the deadly Kuma Water Snake, a bred prodigy of the Mishima Islands of the Mishima Conglomerate. A very poisonous snake which probably swam here from the nearby Snake Island.)
(The group is standing way back, some laughing and some near paralysed in fear, i.e. Serena)
(20 minutes later)
(Misato: The small threat is over, and the Ulah tribe can now enjoy their newly won desert.)
(Shot of Julia cooking some fish and rice as a few hungry eyes look on at the crate.)
Serena: I can taste that sweetness now!
Chun-Li: Uh oh. Call the sugar police, we have a sugar rush alert!
Julia: (motherly tone which is appropriate as she is the oldest there) No desert children until you eat your dinner, you want to grow up big and strong!
Tenchi: Yes mother! (group snickers as Julia hands out the meal)
(After about 10 minutes, they finish…although Davis finished his in about 2…)
Duo: And now the coup de grace.
(The open crate has been protect by a layer of fern to protect the strawberries from insects, but it’s time. As well as the fruit, 7 small bowls are in the crate so…)
Davis: DIG IN!
(Surprsingly, the group calmly wait in turn and scoop out some strawberries for each person and squirt some cream. They then enjoy them quite civilly.)
Serena: Hmm…doesn’t that taste like heaven?
Julia: We’d better not get used to this, although if we were starving, we could keep the whipped cream.
Duo: (shocked) Julia, I didn’t think you went for those type of games.
Julia: (blushing) What…well…I…er, grr, you tricked me didn’t you?
(Everyone else is laughing. Julia smiles, and reached for a plank of wood)
Julia: O.K Duo, let’s play a game. It’s called ‘How does ones Gundam training protect one from one angry woman with a plank of wood?’
(Duo realises the situation and screams running away from the formerly peaceful Julia Chang, armed and dangerous, everyone else is laughing a mile a minute.)
8.15pm
(Misato: The night is starting to fall and the tropical winds are getting stronger in force. A storm may be approaching and the tribes are gonna have to live through it.)
(Inside Ulah camp, night-cam is on)
Tenchi: Damn, it’s getting cold, you wouldn’t think so.
Chun-Li: The winds are biting, but the air is still humid. It’s the worst of both worlds.
Julia: I’m fairly used to the humidity, but not the winds. (camps sways a bit) Damn, this isn’t good.
Duo: We were already struggling together, but we could be crushed against each other here.
Davis: Just stay together guys, this could get ugly.
(At this, Julia surprisingly goes up to Tenchi and cuddles up beside him. The room is difficult but not impossible. The rest are trying to get as much room as possible. Tenchi is silent mostly but just waiting for the inevitable…)
Davis: (snore…)
(Looks around, and sees most people are surprisingly asleep.
Tenchi: Maybe I’ll stay awake and keep watch….
(Tenchi gets up, puts his blanket around him, making sure that the camp isn’t crushed. He uses one of their water cans to try and catch a couple of rats who have invaded the camp. Unknown to him, Julia is watching…)
Julia: Your such a sweet guy Tenchi…
Tenchi: (silent)
(Julia goes back to sleep, Tenchi is a bit red…)
(On Helang tribe, things aren’t going much better for them, especially as with 8 people, they are having even more difficulty getting room.)
Sakura: (With a visible bandage on her shoulder) I’m sweating like a pig here!
Akane: As long as you aren’t P-Chan, go ahead.
Nene: I’m so used to being on my own, 8 people in a small tent with a tropical storm outside results in nothing good.
Jubilee: We simply don’t have enough room, we gonna have to squash together.
Gary: Er, are you sure? (looks a bit nervous especially as three of the girls are a bit older than the guys there)
Akane: (blushes with anger) Gary you…
(Gary fears the inevitable, but Akane just pats on his head)
Akane: …smart man. That means me, Nene and Jubilee get a bit of breathing space. Thanks Gary.
Sakura: Wah! What about me?
Akane: Not as bad for you. Sleep between Gary and Gohan. (slyly) I’m sure they won’t mind.
Gohan/Gary/Sakura: (blush in unison)
(Look at Genki who is asleep, despite everything)
Jubilee: Lazy ass.
Vivi: Forget him. I can sleep in the corner,I can simply shut myself down gently.
Nene: (smiles) Thank you Vivi. Well we get the room, enjoy yourself Sakura! (Akane, Jubilee and Nene get ready to rest)
(With only a bit of room left, Sakura is visibly as red as a tomato)
Sakura: When this is over, remind me to use the shot card on them.
(Sakura slips inbetween Gohan and Gary so that they squash together.)
Sakura: Goodnight guys. (Falls asleep quite quickly, surprisingly comfortable.)
(Gary and Gohan are still blushing)
Gary: The guys back home…
Gohan: …are not gonna believe this.
(Gohan and Gary get comfortable, and despite the storm, manage to fall asleep)
(5.58am.)
(Misato: As the sun rises, the storm last night affected almost everyone’s sleep on both tribes, and in the immunity challenge later today, will that affect them?
(Helang tribe sees Akane and Vivi up. Nene is up quickly after, with a smile on her face)
Nene: (whispering) Guys, look at this.
(Cut to see Sakura’s head on Gohan’s shoulder and Gary with an arm around her)
Akane: Aww….that’s so sweet, don’t say anything though.
(The first rays of sunlight hit Gohan’s eyes and he stares into Sakura’s face leaning in. Gohan almost panics but remembers last night. He gets up, not to wake up Sakura, and then smiles, and removes Gary’s arm of her.)
Nene: Hello Gohan, enjoy yours…ahh! (Rubs the side of where Akane elbowed her)
Akane: SO MUCH FOR NOT SAYING ANYTHING!
(Akane’s yell disturbs both Gary and Sakura, although Jubilee and Genki somehow remain sleeping…)
Sakura: (groggily) Oh…man, I’m late again…
Gohan: That’s a conditioning reflex I guess from her school days. She’s not the only one….
Akane: Your mother’s a homework queen I guess.
Gohan: You got that right.
Gary: Urgh…what time is it?
Vivi: Early, that’s all you need to know. What about the other two?
Akane: Let ‘em sleep. They’ll get up when we start cooking.
Vivi: Yeah, when you burn the breakfast. (Ducks a forearm from Akane.)
Akane: Harsh, but true. Let’s just talk for a bit, see if we got any rats last night, and tease the hell out of Sakura, Gary and Gohan.
(All laugh as said three resumed their blushing from last night…)
(Ulah tribe)
(Julia is the first up as she smiles, seeing Tenchi up and about, gutting a couple of rats by the looks of things.)
Julia: Hey.
Tenchi: (smiles back) Hey.
Julia: Rough night?
Tenchi: Yeah, me and Duo said that they were gonna exchange keeping watch at storms, but I didn’t want to wake him so I just tried staying up the night. I caught a few rats last night, I’m surprised they didn’t wake our motley crew over there.
Julia: Yeah, but you, our guardian hero saved the day.
Tenchi: Thank you. I’m cooking today, Shinji can have the day off. I’m not as good as Sasami, but I’m better than Ryoko for sure.
Julia: Here, let me help prepare.
(The smell of food starts to fill the camp and a lot of sleepy, hungry people start emerging from the tent.)
Shinji: Aw man…don’t tell me you’ve taken my job away Tenchi?
Tenchi: (laughs) Nah, I’m probably not as good as you, but I was up first so I thought I’d get the meal done. It’s only rat with corned beef mixed in for flavour.
Duo: Hey, you didn’t wake me last night. Did you…
Tenchi: (nods)
Duo: Note to self, I owe Tenchi one.
Davis: Hey, will you be O.K, we’ve got an immunity challenge later? You sure you’ll be O.K?
Tenchi: We’ll be fine, I’m not tired enough to stop my chance of staying here. Last time, we only lost on a technicallity, this time…
Serena: …we’ll beat their brains in! Yay!
Duo: Right, what she said.
Chun-Li: Right, let’s enjoy our diseased invested rodents a la Tenchi.
Julia: Hey I helped as well!
Chun-Li: Oh sorry, a la Tenchi and Julia. Hmm…that has a nice ring doesn’t it you two…
(Everyone stares at Tenchi and Julia as they look on and say the only thing they could in this situation)
Tenchi/Julia: SHUT UP!
(About an hour before the immunity challenge on Helang, Akane is with Gary)
Akane: You know Gary, I feel we have a couple of weak links in the group, and I guess we never thought about it last night, but perhaps we should start thinking about who to get rid of, maybe no today, but perhaps in the future.
Gary: O.K, am I on top of your list?
Akane: (smiles) Naw. You’ve surprised me, you have shown leadership and determination and have worked hard. As has Sakura, you two have a bit of a disadvantage with your age and no superhuman capabilities like Gohan, but you’ve worked hard. I think you’re safe for the moment as most of the group like you anyway.
Gary: Thanks…I think. So what about the others?
Akane: I dunno. Nene, I think we should keep for the moment, but I think she has the potential to be a schemer. She can be danegerous, but she is pleasant enough for us to live with. Vivi is a sweetie, but he really doesn’t like it here. Do we get rid of him because of that, or stick him here because of morale? Jubilee seems a bit of a hothead, and she cost us the reward challenge, she seems a bit of a weak link. And Genki, although he did do well at the reward challenge, has been useless mostly.
(Gary: Akane talked to me about possible voting. I think it’s still undecided yet, we need to wait to see what happens in the immunity challenge.)
(Akane: It may be a bit pessimistic, but we have to think who to vote off sooner or later.)
(Scene changes to a shot of the beach, where both tribes are there with Misato, we overlook the oceans which has too large logs.)
Misato: Welcome Ulah and Helang, to today’s immunity tribe. Where the last one consisted of your physical attributes, today, we are going to test your balance and mentality. Over there you see are 2 logs, and on the floor, you see 5 T-Shirts, each with a letter on them.
(The T-Shirts read the letters, A, E, R, T, H)
Misato: The challenge is simple. You have to choose 5 members of your tribe and they have to swim over to the log with a T-Shirt on. When I start the game, the tribe has 3 minutes to create as many words as they can, it doesn’t matter how long they can be. When the tribe has created a word, the tribal members who aren’t in it, must sit down on the log. The members must be next to each other so you have to move about on the log. If you fall in the water, you have to go back on the original position where you fell from. Any questions?
(All shake their head)
Misato: Choose your survivors and then head out to the log.
(Both groups huddle.)
*Ulah*
Chun-Li: I’ll go, I’ve got quite good balance.
Tenchi: Me two.
Julia: Me three.
Duo: I’ll go as well.
Serena: I’ll go as well, if Davis went the whole thing would collapse.
Davis: HEY!
Shinji: (sighs) O.K then.
*Helang*
Nene: I’ll go for this one. I think we need the lightest members here. Sakura, you up for it?
Sakura: Yeah!
Gohan: I’ll go too.
Akane: I’ll go as well, I may not be the lightest but I’ve had martial arts training so I’m fairly balanced.
Vvi: I’m probably the lightest so I’ll round us off.
Gary: You mean you don’t want us around? WAH!
Jubilee: We’re useless!
Genki: Ah, at least we get to rest this one out!
(back to Misato)
(The two tribes are on the long, on Ulah, it’s Chun-Li, Julia, Tenchi, Duo and Serena, on Helang it’s Akane, Nene, Sakura, Gohan and Vivi.)
Misato: Survivors to your marks…GO!
(Immediately, Helang drop all their crew except for Akane who has the letter ‘A’ on)
Akane: ‘A!’
(1 point to Helang)
(Ulah quick curse themselves and respond with the same movement with Chun-Li with the ‘A’)
(Both groups are in this order AERTH’. Nene and Sakura both switch round carefully to make their second word ‘ARE’ whilst Duo is moving a bit farther to make the word ‘AT’.)
(Helang get their point but Nene slips off as she stands, delaying them. Duo quickly catches up and has no such problems. 2 points each but Nene has to get back on the log.)
(Ulah immediately drop Serena and Tenchi and as Julia with E is right next to them they immediately make up a third word ‘ATE’)
(back on beach)
Misato: It seems the Ulah tribe have a plan and it’s seems that with a lot of the crew are martial artists and have a good sense of balance.
(Nene is back on. Gohan sees what the other crew have been done and tells Nene to hold on as he is about to move and replace her so they can do the ‘AT/ATE trick.’)
(As Gohan shuffles across, Ulah, Serena makes her play and manages to move all the way across to make the word ‘HATE’ just before Nene gets into position. It’s 4 –2 to Ulah.)
(Gohan quickly signals to make the word ‘AT’ and then immediately make the word ‘ATE with 30 seconds to go. 4-4.)
(The positions are HATER for Ulah and ATERH for Helang. Suddenly, Julia says that Hater is a word and get another point. Helang now panics and Akane falls in the water as Ulah make another word of their situation, ‘HAT’ and go up 6-4. That is the final score as Misato signifys end of time.)
Misato: Well done to both tribes. Helang you got 4 points, but Ulah, you won with 6, congratulations you are immune tonight and tomorrow Helang, I’ll see you at tribal council.
(Ulah celebrates whilst Helang is depressed.)
(Helang tribe)
(Misato: At Helang the mood is a combination of sombre, quiet and conflict.)
(Nene and Akane are quietly by themselves outside)
Nene: (quietly) That was all my fault…guys, I’m sorry…(close to tears)
Akane: Hey, I fell off as well (hugs Nene), hey, be glad we kept our tempers in check otherwise we’d probably have killed the rest of the tribe.
Nene: I know, it’s just, compared to mostly everyone here, I am at a disadvantage, as I don’t have the physical attributes of you or Gohan or even Sakura. Here, I’m not the red Saber, I’m just plain old Nene Romanova. I don’t have any computers here, I’m not gonna be much use, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are planning to vote me off this very minute.
(Akane: I hate seeing Nene going into depression, as she seems to be my best friend on the island. However, I find it insulting that Jubilee and Genki were ripping her apart behind her back when they did (bleep) all.)
(At this point, Gary comes up to Nene and Akane)
Akane: Hey Gary.
(Gary moves by Nene)
Gary: Are you O.K Nene?
Nene: Hmm…a little. What about you?
Gary: I came here to tell you that Genki is planning to eliminate you. HOWEVER, (looks at Akane) Jubilee wanted to vote you off…
Akane: WHAT? THAT LITTLE…
(Gary covers her mouth)
Gary: SHHH! Do you want to blow our cover? (A few moments and Akane is calm, although she wish she had a wooden dummy like Jubilee right now) Anyway, Gohan and Vivi are gonna fetch the water and Sakura is busy trying to catch some fish and some rats. How about we give the two Nene-haters a little payback?
Nene: (visibly surprised) You mean you don’t want to vote me off?
Gary: (chuckles) Heck no! I’m devious, I’m simply went along with their plan thinking I was a bastard from the early series of pokemon. I’ve changed, and the day I see a cute, funny and smart girl get the boots from a couple of jackasses is the day I hang up my pokemon’s licence!
Nene: (smiles) Aww…that was sweet Gary, thank you! (kisses him on the cheek)
Gary: (blushes like a demon) Er…well…
Nene: (chuckles) Nah, you’re too young for me, and besides, Sakura might get jealous!
(The two girls laugh as Gary somehow blushes even redder. At camp, Jubilee and Genki get the wrong impression)
Jubilee: Gary is lifting their spirits so we can crush Nene tonight.
Genki: I would have prefered Vivi, but I guess Nene will do, she has got a legitimate excuse for elimination tonight.
(Gohan and Vivi come out of the jungle with some water)
Vivi: Are you sure? I wouldn’t mind if you voted for me tonight Gohan…
Gohan: Nah. I’m sure you can last longer than you think. Besides, you are not deadweight pal because you are a nice enough guy, on the other hand…
(Gohan: Vivi I think does want to leave but for the moment, I’ve persuaded him to stay because of his presence to the team. He is just a charming little mage and almost everyone likes him.)
(The Gary group joins up)
Akane: How’s the water?
Vivi: Fine. Gohan didn’t really need me though…(indicating the two full buckets Gohan was carrying)
Gary: Heh, no matter. How’s Sakura doing?
(Shot of Sakura with two rats in two cans and she is filling the cans with sea water. Using two sticks, she holds the rats down in the water until she is sure they are drowned. It’s quite tasking for the young card captor, but eventually, she lets go.)
Sakura: That was the hardest thing I’ve had to do so far.
Gary: Wait till tomorrow night.
(Ulah)
(Misato: The celebrations are high as they enjoy with another helping of strawberries and cream with their fish meal prepared by Julia and Shinji)
Shinji: I’ve got my job back, I’m safe! YAY!
Tenchi: Well, for tonight, we’re all safe Shinji.
Shinji: Oh right. (Everyone laughs)
(Tenchi: Shinji at first seemed like a quiet reserved person, keeping himself to himself, but on the island, he has really opened up to us, and he’s a nice person to hang around now.)
(Shinji: This is almost like a vacation for me, probably why I’m enjoying myself so much. Despite the survival factor, there is no Asuka yelling at me, no orders from Misato, no father to intimidate me and best of all, no Angels ready to kill me. And I’ve made some friends too, Tenchi and Duo in particular.)
Chun-Li: Hey, that’s our reward, go easy Serena, we’ve only got enough for one more lunch!
Serena: But it’s the closest thing to sugar we’ve got!
Davis: O.K…
Serena: Hey, like I asked for your opinion….
Duo: Calm down guys, we’re gonna be together for another 3 nights, let’s just enjoy tonight’s meal…
(Like Helang, stories are told)
Julia: …I dunno if I love him or not. He’s a Mishima in a way, but he is not like his grandfather, he is so nice, he’s a bit like you Tenchi in a way.
Tench: (blushes) I’ll take that as a compliment.
Chun: Well my head has been screwed around by that Bison freak but I got saved from the power at the end. I just hope that’s the end of it…
Shinji: O.K, which is stronger my Eva 01…
Duo: ….or my Gundam…
Shinj/Duo: Maybe we can find out one day…
Davis: The Earth and the Digital world, it’s been so crazy since the defeat of MaloMyotismon, I think I’m just glad to be away for a while, even without Kari…
Serena: (evil smile) Oh, Davis has a crush? Poor fool…
Julia: Hey leave him be, Davis don’t be embarrassed, come on, tell us.
Davis: Well, this girl, Hikari Kamiya is the younger sister of my mentor I suppose, and I fell in love with her at first sight, it was during a soccer game and I got hurt on the knee. Kari then came up and put a bandage on my knee before Tai could do anything. For the last year, things were getting great, she was in my classes, I was talking to her, and whilst I made my feelings obvious, I never actually said that I loved her.
Duo: I sense a but coming here.
Davis: Yeah. One day, a kid with a white fisherman’s hat came by and caught a miskick soccer ball by me. He said that I looked familiar, I didn’t know what he meant then but he thought I was Tai. Then in my class, in he came, his name was T..er, damn…
Serena: Can’t even remember his name?
Davis: Shut up! Anyway, I’ll just call him T.K for now. He came and sat down next to Kari and immediately Kari was smiling. I thought at the time he was moving in on my girl, but it seemed like they were old friends. It was the same day I became a digidestined. However, throughout the months of working I felt that T.K did have a crush on Kari and I also felt that Kari liked him back. (small tear) I dunno if it will ever happen now…
(everyone is quiet)
(Duo: I never knew Davis was so deep, his feelings are strong and he is smarter than I thought.)
(Everyone finishes their conversation whilst eating, a bit more solemn with Davis’ speech)
(7.00am.)
(Misato: The morning of tribal council and for Helang, it is an old favourite of rat for breakfast.)
Sakura: I’ve got to get that net fixed later.
Gohan: Unless you’re voted off tonight.
Sakura: (panics) WAAAH!
Gary: And I thought you were never wide awake in the morning.
Sakura: If I’m still around tonight, remind me to kill you.
Gary/Gohan: GUYS, WE’RE VOTING FOR SAKURA TONIGHT! (Both laugh as Sakura wishes to hell she had her staff to teach them a lesson, but has to laugh herself)
Genki: …give me some more spuds…
Sakura: (Sweatdrop) O.K….
(Jubilee walks over)
Jubilee: Smells good. Didn’t think that could be rat.
Gary: Hey, you need something else in your diet than junk food.
Jubilee: I would qualify rat as definitely junk, but as it doesn’t actually taste that bad, I’ll let you off.
(Akane comes out of the tent with a visibly drowsy Genki following her)
Akane: What is that wonderful aroma?
Sakura: I would like to say chicken dinner, but unfortunately it’s rat. I promise to fix the net…although these two jokers seem to think that eliminating me would be the best way to sort the problem…
Gary/Gohan: (innocently) What?
Akane: Well, Nene and Vivi are getting the water, I think Nene is trying to make up for the challenge yesterday.
Genki: Well, she needs to.
Sakura: Excuse me? (wasn’t part of the conversations of yesterday)
Genki: Well, she cost us, she takes blame, she gets out. Simple.
Sakura: Yes, simple…and for those who didn’t actually take part in it? (A glare at Jubilee and Genki before she continues gutting the fish…)
(Jubilee and Genki are amazed at how cold the 10 year old’s glare was as the rest of the situation is in uncomfortable silence…)
(Ulah)
(Misato: As Ulah are not going to tribal council tonight, they spend the day relaxing on the beach)
(Shot of Serena sunbathing, the four guys are having a mini soccer game in the water and Julia and Chun-Li are both relaxing in the camp)
Julia: Are you enjoying yourself?
Chun-Li: Honestly? Yeah. We have 7 people here all with different identies and personalities, and yet we’ve gelled rather well.
Julia: Yeah. You surprised how deep Davis was last night.
Chun-Li: Yeah. Makes you wonder what he has been hiding in his heart all this time. The guys have accepted him more a bit.
(Shot of Davis throwing the ball past a floundering Shinji to the delight of the ‘crowd’)
Julia: Yeah, and that means….
(looks at Serena)
Chun-Li: …who is more likely in the fireing line next time?
Julia: (silent for a minute) Nah. We’ll worry about that when the time comes. For now, let’s just relax.
(Helang at 2.00pm.)
(Shot of Sakura, Gohan and Gary playing in the sea as Akane, Nene and Jubilee are sunbathing, Vivi is asleep in the tent whilst Genki using his rollerblades as his luxury item, is trying to skate across the sand)
Gohan: Akane and Nene are thinking about eliminating either Genki or Jubilee.
Gary: On the other hand, Jubilee and Genki are thinking about eliminating either Akane or Nene.
Sakura: Which means we are the swing vote for tonights council.
Gohan: Would you say that the three of us are alligned for tonight?
Gary: Not just tonight. To survive perhaps we need to form an alliance.
Sakura: Well the three of us have clicked together, why not?
Gary: The thing is I like Akane and Nene, as well as Vivi…
Gohan/Sakura: Same here.
Gary: …so it’s gonna be difficult to really leave them out of it.
Sakura: (smiles) Wait a second. I think I’ve got an idea that will not only help us with them, but make ourselves look inconscpicous.
Gary: Huh? What’s that then?
Sakura: Well, it’s this…
(5.46pm.)
(Just before they trek off to Tribal Council, a few people have a word in each other’s ear.)
Jubilee: Your decided?
Genki: Yep. She’s going down.
(meanwhile)
Gohan: You with us?
Vivi: Yeah.
(and also elsewhere)
Gary: Guys, what me and Sakura are doing tonight at council, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, and will confuse the heck out of everyone tonight. But I think tonight you two are definitely safe.
Akane/Nene: Are you sure?
Sakura/Gary: Positive.
(Shot of Tribal Council as Misato is at her pedesal. Gary comes in first and hits the gong. All are seated on their seats with the following;)
Sakura: Kero
Akane: Ranma
Nene: Mackey
Jubilee: Wolverine
Gary: Umbereon
Gohan: Goku
Vivi: Zidane
Genki: Holly
(A flame passes by and we see Misato)
Misato: Hello Helang tribe, this is your first tribal council. After 6 days now, you are starting to understand each other, so Gary, what is your impression of the island and your new tribe mates?
Gary: It’s like a brand new journey, something else for me to challenge. And for the people here, it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed the company of people my own age like Sakura and Gohan, and the others had made me feel like a family as well.
Misato: Thank you. Next, Jubilee, you’ve always felt out of place because of your mutant powers. Do you feel an outcast here?
Jubilee: Not really. I’ve tried to get on with everyone here and whilst things may not have always been 100% friendly, I think we have a firm understanding of one another.
Misato: O.K, finally, Vivi, you are the youngest here of age, do you think that could be a problem for you?
Vivi: I won’t lie to say that I’m not enjoying myself as with my stature it’s hard to survive like this. However, the people here have taken me in for being me, and that is all I want.
Misato: O.K then, Sakura, would you please start the voting?
(Sakura goes up, smiles and writes. We see her vote ‘JUBILEE’)
Sakura: She’s knows I don’t like her, which is why this plan is foolproof.
(Genki then goes up and writes ‘AKANE’ down.)
Genki: I first thought Vivi, then Nene, but Akane is the strongest here I think. Without her, they’ll crumble and Jubilee and I can just waltz through everyone.)
(Akane votes but we don’t see her vote or Vivi’s, and Nene’s. Gohan then comes up and we see ‘GENKI’ put down.)
Gohan: Vivi wanted to go off, but we’d like to keep him. And with Sakura’s plan, let’s see if they figure out an alliance…)
(Jubilee goes up and votes ‘AKANE’)
Jubilee: I told Genki to vote for Akane as am I. She is annoying, bossy, yet she is also physically capable of winning this. She has to go.)
(Finally Gary goes up with his vote ‘JUBILEE’)
Gary: This is simply a plan. Vivi, Akane, Nene, it’s all up to you now.
(Gary puts the final vote in the can and Misato gets it.)
Misato: Thank you Gary. Now lets see who is the first for the cut-throat.
(Pulls out first vote.)
Misato: Jubilee.
(Jubilee is shocked)
Misato: Akane.
(Akane is surprised, but manages a small smile.)
Misato: Genki.
(Genki looks like he’s choking on something.)
Misato: Genki.
(Genki is sweatdropping like mad.)
Misato: Genki.
(Genki is panicing and looks around.)
Misato: Akane. That is 3 for Genki, 2 for Akane and 1 for Jubilee. Next vote, Jubilee.
(Jubilee is now in panic mode.)
Misato: The final vote…Genki. Genki, will you please come up and get your torch.
(Genki is a bit wobbly and very shocked. He gets his torch and goes up to Misato.)
Misato: Genki you know that fire represents your life on this island, well your life has ended on the island, will you pleas extinguish your flame please.
(Genki does so, still in shock.)
Misato: The tribe has spoken, you must leave.
Genki: Guys, what did I do to deserve this…
Akane: (under her breath) Nothing, which is why you are off. (She looks at Sakura and Gary, then at Gohan and smiles.)
(Genki heads off through the jungle…)
(confessional)
Genki: I…am stunned. I felt sure that Akane was going, Gary was positive that he was voting with us…what the heck happened?
(See Vivi’s vote ‘GENKI’)
Vivi: The only person I have had problems with is Genki because of the way I am. I am not a mage of hatred, but you must go.
Genki: I felt that Nene, Akane and Vivi were all people who could go…I guess…I underestimated the three other kids.
(Akane’s vote ‘GENKI’)
Akane: Annoying, lazy, bitching, moaning, and any other negative term you can think of, it’s all one package for Mr. Genki. Sayonara.
Genki: Jubilee is in real trouble I think because they had to realise that she was the other one who voted for Akane, it seemed the votes were mixed though, maybe there is still a chance she can survive.
(Nene’ vote ‘GENKI)
Nene: As a person, you’re annoying at best. As a survivor, you’re hopeless, and you and her really got to me. Me and Akane want you off, and I think we’re not the only ones.
Genki: Who could win this….don’t know, don’t care.

(VO: Genki was quickly singled out as the person that everyone disliked. Lazy and always moaning, he quickly encured the wrath of many people. Thus, he was the first to go off the Helang Tribe.)
